How the SoulCare Internship Works
每学年, current 和 incoming 西雅图 Pacific Seminary students will be selected for the SoulCare Discipleship Intern program. Interns help oversee the SoulCare程序 by leading undergraduate Wesleyan small groups, 和 by 培训 和 指导 undergraduate students to lead additional small groups. The SoulCare Discipleship Internship was initially funded through a Vision 和 Call grant from the Murdock Charitable Trust.
Interns will also be involved in intentional exercises on vocational discernment 和 门徒, 包括阅读, 写反思, 一对一的指导, as well as participate in an intentional, 多样化的, welcoming Christian community where strengths are celebrated 和 growth is empowered through Spirit-led belonging 和 门徒. Interns serve 15 hours per week 和 receive $20.每小时50元.
SoulCare Program Distinctives
Young-adult seminarians with a passion for ministering to college students should apply for this program. As a SoulCare Discipleship Intern, you will receive:
- Training 和 leadership experiences related to developing a practical theology of 门徒 to Jesus Christ
- Opportunity to be involved in ministry while in the midst of seminary education, 和 to develop skills in pastoral care, 门徒, 指导, 领导力发展, 程序设计, 实现, 和评估
- Participation in an intentional, 多样化的, welcoming Christian community where strengths are celebrated 和 growth is empowered through Spirit-led belonging 和 门徒
- One-on-one 指导 with specific emphases on Christian spiritual formation 和 the discernment of one’s gifts, 激情, 和 calling in ministry
Application Process 和 Timeline
Current 和 incoming SPS seminarians are invited to apply for the SoulCare Discipleship Intern program. Application deadline is March 18. Interviews will be scheduled 和 conducted after the application deadline. Applicants will be notified in writing of their status by May 17, 2024.
